'No CAA, NRC, UCC implementation': Read Didi's ten vows in poll manifesto

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, marking the first time the party has done so just two days before the polls. The manifesto was released in six languages, aiming to reach a wide audience across the nation.

Senior TMC leaders Derek O'Brien, Chandrima Bhattacharya, and Amit Mitra were present to unveil the manifesto, outlining the party's vision and promises to the electorate.

Key takeaways from TMC manifesto: 

• All job card holders will be ensured 100 days of guaranteed employment, with the minimum wage increased to Rs. 400
• The manifesto vows to construct homes for those in poverty, providing shelter and security
• Every family living below the poverty line will receive ten free cylinders annually
• Ration card holders will receive 5 kg of free ration every month
• Higher education scholarships will be extended for OBCs, SCs, and STs
• The old age allowance will be raised to Rs. 1000 per month
•  A legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) as recommended by the Swaminathan Commission will be ensured, protecting farmers' income
• Petrol, diesel, and cylinder prices will be kept low, with a dedicated fund to stabilize prices and control fluctuations
• Graduates and diploma holders up to 25 years old will receive one-year apprenticeship training with job opportunities and monthly stipends
• A Student Credit Card up to Rs. 10 lakh will be provided for higher education
